Writings » Fry Sauce
You mean you've never heard of fry sauce?
[Note: This page is rather dated, written circa 2004. I've made some minor edits to it, but have otherwise left it alone. As far as I know, McDonalds no longer distributes fry sauce.]It has come to my attention that a sauce traditionally enjoyed with
french fries by myself and others who live
in this area (Idaho, Utah) is not common among other parts of America.
If you yourself live in this area, I know what you might be thinking:
"You mean they don't have fry sauce everywhere?"
I guess not.
I've designed this page for those of you who have not had a chance to try this great stuff. Although fry sauce is not normally made at home (because it is distributed by nearly every fast food chain in this area, including McDonalds), you can easily make it in your own kitchen.
Two parts mayonnaise and one part ketchup
That's all there is to it! Go get some of your favorite fries and enjoy. If you would like to learn more about the history of fry sauce, visit this page.
